ABOUT THE ROLE

 We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Coordinator to play a pivotal role in building and retaining business for Sydney Showground through working with our dynamic sales and operations team.

You will be expected to assist with proactive sales and support across multiple segments including concerts, exhibitions, conferences and other ad hoc special events.

ABOUT US

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) manages the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, events at the Sydney Showground and other activities and events.

The 30 hectare Sydney Showground site is managed by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) making the Society one of the largest venue and event management organisation's in Australia.

Voted "Best Achievement in Venue Management" at the 2016 Australian Event Awards, Sydney Showground plays host to over 140 other major events, exhibitions and music events every year attracting over 1 million visitors.

In order to be successful in the role you will need to be a confident and self-motivated individual with the ability to source new business opportunities. You will be required to develop key relationships both internally and with a broad range of potential and key clients.

Your will to learn, customer centric ethos, interpersonal and communication skills will provide you in good stead for this stepping stone into a rewarding and exciting career in event sales.
