Merivale’s latest opening, the lowdown on the Collaroy, and much more.

By Merivale, 8 June, 2018

Welcome to the second instalment of Mpress. We know that winter setting in comes as a rude shock every year, which is why we are working extra hard to ease the pain – and not only with our Bottoms Up, 49% Offer. This month you can learn a thing or two about natural wine from Merivale’s resident Master Sommelier, Franck Moreau, meet our Visual Stylist and all-round party guru, David Aussel, check out our latest venue, The Collaroy, find out about all the latest news, events and special offers, and much more.

Rumour has it… wrong?

Contrary to some recent press and rumours about the possible redevelopment of ivy, this iconic venue isn’t going anywhere soon. If that changes in the future, we promise to give you the heads up first. In the meantime, though, why not stop by for a drink, or host your next party at ivy ballroom?

We’re loving…
This month we step inside Fred’s kitchen with head chef Danielle Alvarez to find out how she creates the dining equivalent of a warm embrace.

Must visit
A window into the world of some of our latest venues. Some would say it’s a subtle suggestion of where we’d like to meet for a drink. See you there!

The Collaroy is a laidback waterfront hotel on Sydney’s beautiful northern beaches. After a little TLC, this long-time local favourite has officially reopened. Wander in straight from the sand for coffee and a healthy bite; have casual drinks and pizza downstairs; or head upstairs for dinner in the restaurant.

Featuring gun barrel views of Collaroy beach and a vibrant local menu curated by Jordan Toft, The Collaroy has something for everyone. Drop by after a dip in the ocean or settle in and make a night of it.

Event spotlight

We recently held a great event at Tank Stream Bar with Woodford Reserve. The Women in Whisky night was a celebration of female talent in the industry and offered an exclusive masterclass for 40 women, with matching canapés and cocktails. In collaboration with Woodford Reserve and our team at Palmer & Co., the event saw Tank Stream transformed from a standing bar into the perfect place for a seated event.
