ADELAIDE CONVENTION CENTRE WELCOMES COMMUNITY TO DISCOVER NEW EAST BUILDING VIA PUBLIC TOURS SERIESBy Adelaide Convention Centre, 29 August, 2017The Adelaide Convention Centre’s $397 million redevelopment programme will culminate later this month, with the opening of the venue’s all-new East Building on 30 August.The project has transformed not only the Adelaide Convention Centre but also the city’s skyline, with the addition of two new buildings: the West Building, which borders Montefiore Road and was opened in 2015, and the new East Building, opening later this month.To mark the opening of the new East Building, the Convention Centre will host a series of free public tours early next month (September 2017). Tours will last approximately 30 – 40 minutes in duration, and provide the opportunity to inspect the newly expanded Centre and learn about its striking design features and architectural story.The tours will depart from outside the R Bar Regattas on the Adelaide Riverbank Promenade, with participants invited to enjoy a complimentary tea, coffee or soft drink at R Bar upon the tour’s completion.Tour Times: Saturday, 2 September 11.30am and 2.00pm Monday, 4 September 11.30am and 4.00pm Tuesday, 5 September 11.30am and 4.00pm Wednesday, 6 September 11.30am and 4.00pmFor further information or to register for a tour, interested parties are encouraged to visit www.adelaidecc.com.au/tours.Source: Adelaide Convention Centre
