Around The Bays Industry Newsletter – March 2016By Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia, 1 March, 2016"Welcome to the latest edition of Around The Bays, a regular e-newsletter designed to keep you up-to-date on the urban transformation program for The Bays Precinct, Sydney. 2016 is set to be an exciting year of delivery for The Bays Precinct. On 25 February 2016, the Request for Proposals to lead the transformation of the White Bay Power Station closed. We were pleased to receive 13 proposals from Australian and international organisations that are now being evaluated. We recently launched a virtual tour of the White Bay Power Station on our website. This will allow people to safely look inside and around the iconic site before the transformation commences. UrbanGrowth NSW continues to work closely with the Sydney Fish Market on planning for the future Bays Market District, specifically looking at their operational requirements. I take this opportunity to thank the members of The Bays Precinct Reference Group for their valuable contributions at the inaugural meeting in December. We look forward to working with the Group this year on the transformation of The Bays Precinct." David Pitchford Chief Executive UrbanGrowth NSW Source: UrbanGrowth NSW
