Cairns Convention Centre Wins Gold

Topping off a highly successful year, the Cairns Convention Centre team is proud to have won the Business Tourism Gold Award at the 2014 Queensland Tourism Awards.
 

The winners were announced at a gala dinner in Brisbane which celebrated 30 years of tourism excellence together with the achievements of Queensland’s leading operators.
 

The awards are judged on criteria including product, business planning, marketing, customer service, professional development and responsible tourism.
 

Ross Steele, General Manager, Cairns Convention Centre said, “It was an honour to receive the Award, as it recognises the outstanding achievements of our team who take great pride in providing clients with our unique brand of friendly tropical hospitality in a world class venue.”
 

The Award adds to the many highlights for the Cairns Convention Centre in 2014 which include receiving the AIPC (International Association of Congress Centres) APEX Award for World’s Best Congress Centre, hosting the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governor’s Meeting and the highly successful Australian Tourism Exchange, delivering one of its most successful years since opening.
