Deputy Premier to open Business Events Expo

NSW Deputy Premier The Hon. Andrew Stoner will officially open the leading tradeshow for the events industry, the Australian Business Events Expo, next Wednesday 14 August 2013 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

 

Mr Stoner’s attendance is a show of support from the Government to the business events and business tourism industry which is estimated to contribute $16 billion to the state economy.

 

Mr Stoner will talk on the role of Business Events within the NSW economy and government initiatives in this area, and officially open the Expo and associated Event Seminar program.

 

A thought leadership session titled, ‘What is the impact of ’The Asian Century’ on Australian Business Events?’ will follow Mr Stoner. It will aim to inform attendees of the economic impact and opportunities the Asian Century has on the Business Events sector in Australia.

 

Lyn Lewis-Smith, CEO of Business Events Sydney, Andrew McEvoy, Managing Director of Tourism Australia and Kerrie Mather, CEO of Sydney Airport will participate in the session.

 

The Australian Business Events Expo is owned and operated by Exhibitions and Trade Fairs.
