By Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia , 5 April, 2019

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) is on the road this month, visiting Members and Stakeholders in Brisbane and Perth to update the industry on the work of the Association and hear from Members in their home-state.

This April, Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio will meet with key stakeholders in Western Australia on 15-16 April, including The Hon. Paul Papalia MP, WA State Minister for Tourism to promote the industry.

Ms DiMascio will conduct a series of briefings, including to the Perth Convention Bureau Board as part of their annual strategy day and meeting Perth Convention Bureau and Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre staff.

The roadshow will also include visits to major investors in WA’s business events industry.

The Association will then travel to Queensland, to host an EEAA board meeting and Member Roundtable in Queensland on 30 April.

The EEAA Board and EEAA Members will have a unique opportunity to be briefed by The Star’s Chief Operating Officer, Kelvin Dodt on the massive infrastructure project at Queens Wharf that will expand the capacity of Brisbane for business events.

Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio said the Association’s annual road show to visit Members and Stakeholders is an ideal way to see first-hand the state of the industry within each state.

“The EEAA understands the importance of meeting with local politicians and key stakeholders to spread the message of the Power of Exhibitions and the work of the wider business events sector.

“It is also an excellent way to hear directly from Members and visit their venues, keeping us connected and engaged.

“Meeting with Members and Stakeholders from across Australia also assists the Board and EEAA team with providing the services our community need and want.” Ms DiMascio said.
