EEAA ENews: 2018 Conference Deep-dive clinics | Get involved in Global Exhibitions Day

By Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia , 8 May, 2018

We are now just 4 weeks away from the 2018 Leaders Forum and 2018 Conference – which are being held to coincide with Global Exhibitions Day #GED18. We’ve already issued details of the program and I’m hoping to see many of you at these events. We’re offering Members the opportunity to send more people to the conference by providing a deeply discounted rate of $480 for Members. This is to ensure that your staff have every opportunity to benefit from the great learning opportunities that we’ve created.

This week we also wrote to all Members about the Annual General Meeting and to call for nominations for the EEAA Executive Committee.

I encourage you to be active and to ensure that you participate in the AGM, vote for the Executive Committee – and also consider whom you would like to represent you. Contact [email protected] if you did not receive details on how to nominate.

I’m particularly excited about the content for our events program and the opportunities these present for you and your staff to hear from some outstanding presenters and also exchange ideas on what will drive the future of our industry.

So much is changing in the way we all do business – we have crossed the threshold into a new world – there has been an industrial revolution enabled by tech and innovation. No one can afford to sleep through these changes. If you snooze, you will find your world and your customers’ world has changed forever.

Invest in yourself and your staff – join us.

There’s is also plenty of other news in this edition. The Board visited Brisbane last week for our annual Queensland round-table. Thanks to all those who joined us – and also to Juliet Alabaster from the Brisbane Convention Bureau who briefed us on the remarkable transformation that is taking place in Queensland’s capital.

The Business Events Australia new bid fund is now open – check out the link in the section below for your applications.

Finally, we’re thrilled to have been short-listed for the NSW Department of Industry – Industry Collaboration Award for our partnership with TAFE NSW.

Check out the Members News, Jobs and the Events Calendar, which shows just how much is going on around the country.
