EEAA ENews December 2016

By Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia , 22 December, 2016

Dear Members

That’s a wrap for 2016! Thank you to all our Members, partners and stakeholders for helping to make 2016 another successful year for the EEAA. As I sit here finishing off the last few things on the jobs list, I can honestly say that we have tried to deliver our best for our Members. And it has been a big and very rewarding year.

Our end-of-year Conference and Awards for Excellence delivered as test events at the new ICC Sydney were a testament to the vibrancy of our community. I was so proud to end the year so stunningly. At the Conference we also welcomed our new Platinum Partner, Airbnb, and newest Members Event-Crew Australia and Unimet Security.

Our new website www.eeaa.com.au is now up and reflects the vitality, diversity and importance of the events industry. It is our online front-door and we will channel all our communications and traffic towards it. So please ensure your Member content is up-to-date so that we can help you better leverage your membership. In particular, please ensure the events that you run or that your venue hosts are listed in the calendar. This is very important as the Calendar of Events is the most popular resource on our website.

We have a big year planned for 2017 and we look forward to you being part of it as we continue to grow the Association and promote the importance of our industry.

Our office is closed from Friday, 23 December and reopens on Monday, 9 January 2017. We are looking forward to the break after a full year in which we have delivered so much. Thanks to our Members, partners, friends and supporters for helping the EEAA go from strength-to-strength.

On behalf of the EEAA team – Rebecca, Kylie and me – we hope you have a safe and enjoyable break and we look forward to seeing you in 2017.

Joyce DiMascio
Chief Executive
