EEAA 2018 Global Exchange

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has an important mission to keep the Members of the Association globally connected, with access to important leaders from across the exhibition and event community in Australia and around the world.

The EEAA 2018 Global Oration was delivered by Chris Skeith, CEO of the UK’s peak body, the Association of Event Organisers (AEO).

Chris was then joined on-stage by ICC Sydney’s CEO, Geoff Donaghy; EEAA President, Spiro Anemogiannis and EEAA Board Members, Jo-Anne Kelleway and Helen Mantellato, for an in-depth discussion on the major trends, opportunities and challenges affecting the global business event industry.

Earlier that day, the Association held the annual Gold and Platinum Partner Political Insiders Round-table. The event was hosted by the beautiful L’Aqua at Cockle Bay Wharf.

We thank Chris Skeith, our Members, stakeholders and the special guests who contributed their time, expertise and insights to the program, as well as the venue hosts and our event partners for their generous support.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by EEAA and AEO at the EEAA 2018 Global Exchange Oration. The formal partnership between Australasia and the United Kingdom promises closer collaboration and knowledge sharing between the two Associations.

EEAA POLITICAL INSIDERS ROUND-TABLE AND GOLD AND PLATINUM PARTNER LUNCH

Each year a panel of savvy political insiders unpack the major issues in Australia’s political and business life. This year, the Gold and Platinum Partner Political Insiders Round-table was held at L’Aqua, Cockle Bay Wharf in Sydney to honour the Gold and Platinum partners of the Association.

An illustrious panel of political commentators including Chairman of Business Events Sydney, the Hon. Bruce Baird AM;  Managing Director of Hawker Britton, Simon Banks and CEO and Managing Director of Barton Deakin, Matthew Hingerty.

This is one of the EEAA’s most popular events of the year and it attracts senior business leaders.  Led by EEAA Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio and with a wrap-up by Adrienne Readings of the Gold Coast Convention Centre, the discussion operates under Chatham House rules with plenty of insights to the current state-of-play in Australian politics. It is a a must-attend event for anyone interested in understanding the political climate and how it will impact upon businesses and industry.
