EEAA EXECUTIVE BOARD HEADS TO MELBOURNE NEXT WEEKBy Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia, 17 April, 2015MEDIA RELEASE 17 April 2015 EEAA EXECUTIVE BOARD HEADS TO MELBOURNE NEXT WEEK The Executive Board of the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) will head to Melbourne and meet with Members in a round-table discussion next week. The EEAA Melbourne Member Forum will be held on 21 April at Member Venue, Melbourne Showgrounds. It will include an overview of the top-line take-outs from the EEAA Business Environment Forum, facilitated by Corporate Strategist Nell Anderson in March, as well as an update on matters specific to exhibitions and events in Victoria. “In early March, the EEAA Membership gathered to discuss the current business environment,” EEAA Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio, said. “What we have learnt from Members is that there is no doubt business conditions are creating new demands for the expo sector. “Members conducted a SWOT analysis of the industry and the Association’s next steps are to equip our Members with knowledge and tools they can take back to their businesses, to capitalise on existing opportunities. “How organisers, associations, venues and suppliers adapt to the current business conditions will determine their capacity to succeed.” Discussions around business conditions will be led by EEAA President, Domenic Genua, and Organiser Board Members Spiro Anemogiannis, Informa Australia, and Brian Thomas, Reed Exhibitions, she said. EEAA will also give Members an update on the Association’s priorities and core programs for 2015. “We are looking forward to returning to Melbourne Showgrounds, who supported a similar event with Members last year. “There has been a strong interest from Members and Stakeholders in attending this event and we thank Melbourne Showgrounds for their continued support.” ENDS/Source: Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia
