EEAA OPENS REGISTRATIONS FOR FINAL EEAA EVENTS AT SCEC
EEAA MARKET MONITOR RESULTS PLUS
GOLD AND PLATINUM PARTNERS HEAR TOP LOBBYISTS ON LIFE IN ABBOTT ERA
 
The Exhibition and Events Association of Australasia (EEAA) EEAA has launched into the last quarter of 2013 with an action packed program of events and announcements.
 
EEAA has opened registrations for its final events to be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre – the 2013 Conference and Awards for Excellence to be held on 25 and 26 November. (Link program and registration)
 
With a conference program packed with top-tier speakers and a gala awards that honours the high achievers of 2013, the program will be filled with emotion as the industry farewells its great friends at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre which closes its doors a week later.
 
Joyce DiMascio, CEO of EEAA said the conference content would be stimulating for senior people in the industry as well as their teams. We have had the backing of our major sponsors Octanorm for the conference and FABframe for the Awards.
 
“This is a chance for members and stakeholders to hear top-tier speakers in a business networking environment that is geared to the exhibition and events industry.” she said.
 
“Our program for the 2013 conference is focussed on the future – we have secured excellent speakers including brothers, Steve Vamos and John Vamos, two most accomplished leadership coaches.
 
“We will also hear from Jodie Sangster on major trends in data-based marketing and changes to the regulatory environment. Our workshops will be sleeves rolled-up sessions in which we explore themes including experiential exhibition design, strategic planning and digital marketing compliance.”
 
At a Gold and Platinum partner event in Sydney on 22 October, EEAA launched the latest research on the state of the industry.
 
The EEAA Market Monitor #4 shows an optimistic sentiment with 17 new shows expected to be presented in 2014. But there are some concerns related to the domestic economy, declining exhibitor budgets and the impact of construction in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
 
The Market Monitor tracks the heart-beat of our industry. There are variations in the performance across sectors with lifestyle consumer shows driving growth.
 
The EEAA uses the Market Monitor to support its advocacy and engagement with Government.
 
At its Gold and Platinum Partner event, where the research was presented, EEAA also heard from leading lobbyist – Matt Hingerty, CEO Barton Deakin and Simon Banks, Canberra-based Director of Hawker Britton.
 
“We take the view that we need to stay close to those who are connected in Canberra and with State Governments around Australia.
 
“Simon Banks knows Labor and Matt Hingerty knows the Coalition. Their insights were outstanding and a salient reminder of the need to understand the new political drivers of policy and funding and especially the role that minor parties will play.”
