EEAA PRESIDENT REAFFIRMS EEAA FOCUS ON HELPING ITS MEMBERS TO PROSPERBy Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia, 2 June, 2015MEDIA RELEASE EEAA PRESIDENT REAFFIRMS EEAA FOCUS ON HELPING ITS MEMBERS TO PROSPER The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) Members turned up in force for a day-long program of meetings and workshops coinciding with the 2015 Annual General Meeting at Sydney Royal Stables, Sydney Showground. In his report to Members, EEAA President, Domenic Genua said the Association remained focussed on delivering programs that help the prosperity of its Members. “All efforts, be it advocacy, research, marketing, education programs, or the simple delivery of market intelligence must point to providing you with an opportunity to improve your business position. “I am proud of our Association work and it remains very focussed, nimble in responding to issues, stable membership and staffing, strong in our financial position – and most of all, highly engaged with the Membership.” he said. Mr Genua reported that the EEAA Five Year Strategy had a goal of lifting the expo sector’s profile in the marketing industry so that exhibitions and their associated events can get a bigger share of the marketing spend. “This is a major challenge and one that the Association has made a priority. A strategic repositioning of the sector is what is needed – it can be done. That’s our industry’s challenge.” he said.
