EEAA YOUNG STARS HEAR THAT SKILL AND PASSION ARE KEY DRIVERS OF LEADERSHIP SUCCESSBy Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia, 14 October, 2015MEDIA RELEASE EEAA YOUNG STARS HEAR THAT SKILL AND PASSION ARE KEY DRIVERS OF LEADERSHIP SUCCESSFINAL LEADERS TABLE IN MELBOURNE FOR 2015 The EEAA Young Stars have been inspired by one of the most respected leaders in the hospitality and accommodation industry to harness their passion, surround themselves with people who have similar values and remain focused and determined. Chairman and founder of Quest Apartment Hotels, Paul Constantinou, addressed the EEAA Young Stars at a mentoring dinner at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) last week – the final Young Stars & Leaders Table in Melbourne for 2015. EEAA Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio, said Paul is a respected industry leader with a unique insight into developing clear business propositions and continually innovating to meet customer needs. “His message was simple – to succeed as a leader you need a healthy dose of passion and skill. This was a major take-out message for our Young Stars. “Paul’s knowledge and experience spans 35 years and he knows what it takes to stand out from competitors and create compelling customer experiences. “He is passionate about working with and mentoring young people and we were truly honoured that Paul could speak to the EEAA Young Stars and share his insights and experiences about what it takes to be a leader and succeed in business.” Paul founded Quest in 1988 and has built the business to be the largest serviced apartment group in Australasia. Today, Quest is in 150 locations throughout Australia, New Zealand and Fiji and has recently undergone a rebrand in recognition of their new global partnership with The Ascott Limited. He says the true success in any business is being able to genuinely understand people’s needs today, and know them so well that you understand what they need tomorrow. Ms DiMascio said Paul is also a Member on the Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF Australia) Board and understands the important contribution events make to our economy and in driving business opportunities for cities. She said Paul was EEAA’s special guest last year at the Gold and Platinum Partner annual event alongside leading lobbyists, Simon Banks from Hawker Britton and Matt Hingerty from Barton Deakin, and Harvey Lister Chairman and Chief Executive of AEG Ogden. “Paul is a strong advocate for the sector and is helping to carry the message about the importance of exhibitions to influential stakeholder groups.” EEAA thanks Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre for their support of this event.Source: Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia
