How can Industry respond to the climate crisis and accelerate decarbonisation whilst remaining competitive?

Australia is a trade-exposed carbon intensive economy that must move towards industrial efficiency and rapid decarbonization, drastically challenging existing operations and models. Industries and businesses require clarity and confidence to invest in the sustainable technologies, net zero emissions industries of the future, drive innovation and make changes to existing operations and processes.

The ‘Australian Decarbonisation Conference' on the 29-30 June 2020, Radisson Blu, Sydney will be a landmark event for the commercial Australia during this crucial time as we see the government preparing to announce its technology investment blueprint and increasing pressure on industries & businesses from customers and investors to develop meaningful responses to the climate crisis and accelerate decarbonization pathways.

The event has been designed as a chance to discuss developments & opportunities to advance decarbonisation pathways and will focus on industries including aluminium, ammonia, building materials, cement, ethylene, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, steel, shipping & transport operations.

We will look at government policy, developments, key drivers, case studies, the new technologies and increasing opportunities they provide to reduce Co2 emissions to almost zero using energy-efficiency improvements, increased renewable-energy, electrification of heat, the use of hydrogen and biomass as feedstock or fuel, and carbon capture storage.
