Event Type Trade
Event Fee 110

EEAA is holding an important Forum in Melbourne on 27 April 2017 and we invite you and your colleagues to join us.

WHS AND WORKSAFE VICTORIA
We will hear from WorkSafe Victoria on the issues our Members should be focused on. Ian Sandlant, Event Program Coordinator – Operations & Emergency Management, will discuss the role of the regulator in the exhibition and event space, the responsibilities of Organisers, Venues and Suppliers in providing safe working environments. We will be discussing the following:

  • Working at heights
  • Forklift safe practice
  • Manual Handling
  • Information, Instruction, Training and Supervision of employees including young employees

These are important issues and this Member Forum is designed to put the spotlight on safe practices and how our industry can maintain high OHS standards.

EEAA will allow time for a round-table discussion following this session where Members can also talk specifically about labour hire, in particular from international labour hire and stand build companies.

SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability practices are important to many EEAA Members but is there more we can be doing?

Sydney Sustainability Centre’s General Manager, Cameron Little will discuss how to improve upon ‘random acts of environmental kindness’. He will also address how to focus on sustainability actions that result in a good return on investment.

This session will highlight practices that can be adopted to help reduce waste and costs, ensure we meet our compliance and social obligations effectively and help us provide value to customers and clients.
