The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) Gold Member Partner, Eventbrite has partnered with Facebook and Spotify to transform the way we buy tickets to sports, food, business and music events.

Today, Eventbrite and Facebook have launched a new event discovery and ticket buying facility in Australia, that will allow users to buy tickets directly within Facebook, without having to leave the site or app.

This partnership is the first of its kind in Australia as Eventbrite is the only Facebook partner to allow attendees to purchase and access their ticket completely within the social network. This innovation simplifies the process of purchasing and accessing a ticket by having it done all within the event page on Facebook.

Phil Silverstone, General Manager of Eventbrite Australia said, “Facebook’s apps are some of the most-used in the world, and meeting consumers where they are already spending a significant amount of their time online is vital for providing a seamless user experience.

“We’re bringing an openness to the market that puts the customer at its core: we’re helping event organisers sell more tickets by making them available to purchase where their audiences already are.”

Eventbrite has also announced a new global integration with Spotify. By appealing to Spotify users’ music preferences, the app will now recommend Eventbrite events to its 100 million+ listeners. By leveraging Spotify’s music and concert discovery algorithm, the partnership will help music event producers connect with the fans most likely to attend their shows within Spotify’s app.
