Exhibitions and Events Australia Pty Ltd acquires Brisbane HIA Renovate and Build Expo

By EEA, 7 November, 2013

Exhibitions and Events Australia Pty Ltd (EEA) confirmed in August it had purchased the Brisbane ‘HIA Renovate and Build Expo’ from the Housing Industry Association (HIA).

”The HIA has an already strong partnership with EEA which runs the highly successful Melbourne and Sydney HIA Home Shows.  I am pleased that the Renovate and Build Expo has been bought by a company that shares many of our values and I am sure that they will build on the success of the Expo in the future” said Shane Goodwin, Managing Director of the HIA.

EEA will take over the HIA Renovate and Build Expo from the 2014 event onwards.

“EEA is a well-respected and highly experienced event organiser with a long history of achieving success for exhibitors.  We are confident under our ownership that this Brisbane Expo will continue to prosper and grow. We are positive of a smooth transition and maintaining the show’s status in the market place”, concluded Jane Ford, Managing Director of EEA.

The 2014 ‘HIA Renovate and Build Expo’ will move from its current dates in May, to 29-31 August. It will   combine with EEA’s current ‘Sunday Mail Home Show’ and consequently be re-branded the ‘HIA Sunday Mail Home Show’.

“We are sure this move to merge two events into one will produce a comprehensive high quality show and attract more trade and consumers visitors than if they were held separately.  The event will continue to be promoted heavily to HIA trade members as well” concluded Jane.

EEA is Australasia’s leading Home Show organiser. It owns the HIA Home Show in Melbourne, HIA Home Show in Sydney, Herald Sun Home Show in Melbourne, The Courier Mail Home Show and The Sunday Mail Home Show in Brisbane, the Auckland Home Show and two Christchurch Home Shows in New Zealand. It also owns and manages six MindBodySpirit Festivals.
