Exhibitions and Events Australia’s Pledge To The Bushfire CrisisBy EEA, 21 February, 2020The team at Exhibitions and Events Australia are committed to assisting those affected by the recent bushfire crisis and ongoing drought. On Friday 10th January, EEA announced that they had pledged $100,000 towards bushfire relief. EEA donated on behalf of the Home Shows, MindBodySpirit Festival and EveryWomanExpo. $50,000 was donated to the Vinnies Bushfire Appeal for disaster relief and $50,000 was donated to WWF Australia for affected wildlife. “The team at Exhibitions and Events Australia are deeply saddened by the bushfire crisis devastating our beautiful country. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, animals, and communities affected by this crisis, and the brave emergency services personnel, the Australian Defence Force and volunteers on the front line.” In a further effort to assist the local and small businesses in the affected communities, EEA have offered a limited number of free spaces for businesses directly impacted by these disasters to exhibit at their Sydney HIA Home Show, Sydney MindBodySpirit Festival, Melbourne HIA Home Show and Melbourne MindBodySpirit Festival. Nominations from all industries were welcomed and people were able to nominate their own small business or a business they were passionate about. Each Show and Festival attracts tens of thousands of visitors, giving the selected businesses the perfect platform and marketing support to help them get back on their feet. EEA will be announcing the recipients of the free spaces in the coming weeks.
