ExpoNet have delivered dynamic installations for Harteffect – Canon’s creative agency at the colourful Vivid Sydney festival of light, music and ideas.  The Canon Photo Hubs and Photo Stops were installed along the Sydney Harbour foreshore area and were active during Vivid Sydney festival dates 23 May to 9 June 2014.

Multi award-winning exhibition and event supplier, ExpoNet, collaborated with Harteffect to project manage the requirements and construct the installations utilising custom manufactured components, graphics, specialised electrics and lighting ensuring a high quality response to the creative and technical brief.

The innovative Canon Photo Hub and Photo Stop custom structures were constructed to ensure free flow through for public access, durability and safety being subject to intense public interaction and exposed to the weather for the full length of the festival dates.  The team liaised with the governing authorities passing engineering certifications to ensure the requirements were met. They applied detailed project management in the design and technical application stages to produce an outstanding result for the client and visitors to Vivid Sydney.

The structures allowed for media output featuring speakers projecting the Vivid Sydney events presentation. The structures also incorporated graphic elements using photographic scenes of the iconic Sydney Harbour foreshore on the internal panels advising the public the best photographic applications at that particular station.  The exteriors were cleverly constructed using a reflective material to mirror the Vivid Sydney light displays.  With all these features, the custom structure also brilliantly showcased Canon’s brand to visitors to the area.

Created and presented by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency
