Families are the new nomads

Families are the new nomads

The domain of the grey nomads is being invaded as more and more young families and couples are wanting to ‘see their own backyard first’ with camper trailers, motorhomes and caravans.

The statistics offered up by the company behind most of the successful caravan and camping events in Queensland says that the age group of buyers is dropping and families are flocking to these sorts of events in search of their home away from home.

The second annual Cleveland Caravan, Camping, Boating and 4×4 Expo will showcase the very latest in camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes, boats and 4x4s and offer over $25,000-00 in prizes to be won including a boating package and a new camper trailer.

There are plenty of activities on the event program including a 4×4 demonstration track, a mini bike comedy stunt show and FREE rides for kids. The Shimano Fishing Show with National Fishing Presenter, Dave Moss and local fishing identity Shane Roberts is sure to be popular along with camp oven cooking displays by popular celebrity bush cook, Ranger Nick who wowed crowds at the event last year.

The Cleveland Caravan, Camping, Boating and 4×4 Expo runs 23rd to 25th September 2016 at the Cleveland Showgrounds and is open Friday and Saturday 9am – 5pm and Sunday 9am – 4pm.

Costs are $10 for adults, $8 for Aged Seniors Card holders and children with an adult are free.
