Federal Budget 2016/17 Analysis

Treasurer Scott Morrison handed down the Coalition's 2016/17 budget last night in Canberra. We have assembled valuable commentary from key organisations to help you decipher what it means for you.

With the Federal election only two months away, we could potentially see more policy announcements from both the Government and Opposition.

EEAA has been working with our colleagues from the Business Events Council of Australia to put before the Government and Opposition a range of policy and funding measures which will benefit all sectors of business events. We will continue to advocate on your behalf over the coming 8 weeks until the 2 July Federal election.

Later today, we will also issue another communication to Members regarding our forthcoming Annual General Meeting and 2016 Leaders Forum. Please ensure you review this communication as it will include important information regarding our AGM, Leaders Forum and Global Exhibitions Day programs for 8 and 9 June.

Chief Executive
