Experience

My current position as Head of Conference and Event Sales at the Celtic Manor Resort (Host venue of the NATO Summit 2014 and the 2010 Ryder Cup. Location of the International Convention Centre Wales, ICCW) has proved to be a huge success in all significant avenues. This has involved maintaining and accomplishing the management of a large team of twenty staff to achieve an annual conference and events sales target of £11m. This team has successfully constructed corporate and social events, including annual business conferences, dinner dances and activity days, weddings, Christmas events, golf packages and special occasions.

Head of events sales at the Celtic manor Resort has been a prestigious and rewarding role. I am now currently excited to transfer my wide range of skills and knowledge to a new and stimulating position, and further develop my career. Furthermore, managing prominent clients from numerous business segments and degrees has been the forefront of my responsibility. My dedicated and professional approach has secured contracts of countless major companies.

Effective communication and collaboration within a resilient team has enabled me to continually drive personal forward and professionally develop myself and staff in all significant areas. My ability to manage and assist the client in every way possible to realise their event plan, ensures the client is confident and comfortable in the knowledge that every eventuality is considered and highly organized. My positive approach to any scenario enables me constantly adapt and manage daily challenges to ensure and promote substantial financial results.

I am confident I would be able to transfer my extensive skills, experience, and national knowledge of events acumen in a business with a significant requirement for planning and budgeting. Additionally, I can incorporate and merge into a company that is looking for an experienced and determined event sales manager willing to add an exciting unique dimension to events, but also willing to explore, continually develop, and reinforce essential new skills in a challenging environment.
