Merivale acquires new venue in Sydney’s Northern BeachesBy Merivale, 15 August, 2017Merivale is expanding its Northern Beaches portfolio with the acquisition of The Collaroy. The Collaroy joins Merivale venues Papi Chulo in Manly and The Newport on the Pittwater estuary.“The Collaroy is in a truly spectacular location, with sweeping views of the ocean and sand literally at its door step. This is a really exciting addition to the group, and one that will beautifully complement what we’re creating at The Newport,” says Justin Hemmes, CEO of Merivale.“I love the Northern Beaches; it is a magnificent area and we are incredibly proud to be part of it.”The Newport launched the first phase of its landmark redevelopment in April last year, with the second phase, featuring an indoor restaurant and bar, set to open this summer.Hemmes remained tight lipped about his plans for the venue, but executive chef Jordan Toft is currently recruiting for his kitchen team.Further plans are yet to be announced.Source:Merivale
