RECORD ATTENDANCE NUMBERS AT
AUSTRALIA'S LARGEST OIL & GAS EVENT

Over 14,500 people attended the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG), setting an all-time record for the event held in Perth over three days last week.

The figures, up 40 percent from 2013, are a testament to the increasing interest in the local industry and its importance to the Australian economy.

“We had such high demand from exhibitors wanting to take part this year that the show's footprint extended to Level 2 for the first time. Visitor numbers have certainly reflected the increase in demand and we're pleased to say this year has been the most successful since Diversified acquired the event in 2007,” said Event Director, Bill Hare.

Over 550 exhibitors from across 20 countries, including the US, UK, China, Norway, Scotland, Singapore, Holland, Italy, France and Belgium presented the latest developments in technology and services. Among the line-up were heavyweights such as Cameron, FMC, Technip, Aker Solutions, Fugro, Baker Hughes, Kongsberg and Yokogawa.

Delegates converged at the AOG Conference, which featured over 150 speakers covering 15 different streams with subsea incorporated into the program.

Networking events were a popular choice this year. The inaugural AOG Opening Drinks and Women – High Tea sold-out and 850 dressed to impress at the AOG Official Dinner, hosted by comedian Vince Sorrenti.

AOG Graduate Careers Day was also a hit, attracting over 1149 students, who heard free presentations from companies such as Woodside, Curtin University, Subsea 7 and Wood Group Kenny.

AOG will again be held in Australia's oil and gas capital of Perth from 11-13 March 2015. For more information visit www.aogexpo.com.au.
