Risk management Risk management is a major consideration for organisers and contractors involved in building exhibitions. As an industry, there is a duty of care to ensure we are doing all we can to maintain safe work practices. Compliance with state and national legislation is vitally important. EEAA’s industry Risk & Safety Management System assists organisers and contractors to comply with venue requirements and act in accordance with legislation. This system is a significant component in maintaining a safe industry.Developed in conjunction with risk specialists, Marsh, who monitor the System and provide help and guidance during the accreditation process, it is designed to encourage companies to produce required compliance policy documents and risk assessments that comply with risk management legislation. A number of companies who have already completed accreditation have passed on favourable comment about the ease of the process. Once accreditation is completed, EEAA members will receive notification from Marsh Risk Consulting when documents are required for renewal, in order to continue their compliance with the system.
