Andrew Smith, Country Chair of Shell in Australia and Vice-President of the company’s upstream businesses in Australia and New Zealand, is confirmed to deliver a keynote presentation at next year’s Australasian Oil & Gas Conference (AOG) in Perth.


Smith will give an industry perspective on the future of Australia’s Oil and Gas sector during the Plenary Session, which will open the AOG Conference at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on 19 February.


Shell recently launched the hull of the Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project, floating the 488-metre hull out of the dry dock in Geoje, South Korea on Saturday.


Another standout confirmed as part of the 2014 AOG conference program is Julie Harrison, Partner, Human Capital at professional services company, Deloitte. Harrison will give her perspective on the industry during the Human Capital session, which offers an insight into strategic concepts such as next generation leadership practices, Human Capital analytics and the open talent economy. 


“Deloitte is excited to be involved with the 2014 AOG Conference Human Capital stream. As the keynote for this event, our session will focus on the latest global and local Human Capital trends, as well as those specific to the Oil & Gas sector,” said Harrison.

The comprehensive conference program runs over two days from 19 – 20 February and will feature over 150 speakers covering 15 difference conference streams.
