Following the announcement in September 2012 of an exciting new meeting, conference and events venue address being added to the leading venue portfolio, Doltone House | Hyde Park, Elizabeth Street Sydney, has exceeded the artist’s impressions.The soft opening dedicated to Doltone House staff and the design and fit-out development team, ran without a hitch early last week. Attendees were overwhelmed by the wow factor of the venue space and were exceptionally impressed by the quality of the finishes that has certainly raised the bar for Sydney. The venue officially hosted its first client event on the 18th May 2013.The design includes a sweeping staircase of double stitched black leather, gold mirrors and intricate tiling creating a luxe interior, along with purpose made unique crystal chandeliers representing a modern interpretation of old-world glamour in the main ballroom. The Hyde Park Ballroom blends heritage features of the grand arched windows, three stunning sandstone fireplaces, with a dramatic contrast of black and gold highlights. The use of rich black and metallic tones is offset with neutral creams to give a fresh, clean and unquestionably sophisticated elegance. The venue itself also boasts 5metre high ceilings with an abundance of natural light via floor to ceiling spectacular windows and uninterrupted views of Sydney’s Hyde Park.The contemporary elegance is transpired to the Manhattan and Avenue Rooms and offers a lighter palette of creams combined with sapphire blue in New York style.
