The Star hosts Australia’s film and TV talent for the 4th AACTA Awards

The Star, Sydney’s premier entertainment destination, will welcome the 4th annual Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards for the third time in 2015. Hosted in The Star’s state-of-the-art multi-purpose Event Centre, The Star welcomes back the AACTA Awards as the official Destination Partner and host venue of the event until 2017.

The AACTAs luncheon on 27 January and main ceremony on 29 January 2015 will both be held in The Star Event Centre, with the main ceremony being co-hosted by two of Australia’s finest and favourite talents, Deborah Mailman and Cate Blanchett.

In December 2014, The Star Event Centre also hosted the AACTA nominations.

The main ceremony on 29 January will kick off with a red carpet arrival featuring Australia’s leading film and television star’s including ceremony hosts Cate Blanchett and Deborah Mailman, AACTA President Geoffrey Rush and Offspring’s Kat Stewart.

The Star Event Centre’s technical team is preparing for the major Sydney event, with the Event Centre’s giant Hi-Res LED screen with cutting edge technical capabilities set to impress attending guests.

Following the formal awards Ceremony, attendees will have the opportunity to let their hair down at the AACTAs official after party on Sky Terrace, followed by celebrations continuing into the night at The Star’s internationally renowned nightclub, Marquee.

Viewers can watch the red carpet and Ceremony on Network Ten on the evening of Thursday 29 January, with an encore on Foxtel’s ARENA channel on Saturday 31 January.
