The Venues Collection, Sydney’s newest venues and hospitality group is gearing up for the re-launch of the events sector with the announcement of a new staff appointment and the launch of a series of marketing resources to present its portfolio to the market.

Director, Philip Beauchamp said The Venues Collection had used the lock-down period to gear up the venues, its team and the marketing for a return to market as soon as Government restrictions are lifted.

“It has been a particularly difficult time for our business and the events industry and we are now looking forward to the Government giving us the go ahead to commence operating with 100 people.

“The sooner this happens, the better as we would like to help our clients with bookings to hold their events and we’d also like to introduce new clients to our beautiful destination venues across Sydney.” He said.

The Venues Collection has announced the appointment of talented industry young gun, Mr Kay Badakhsh, to join its business development team to particularly focus on driving opportunities in the meetings, incentive and small exhibitions markets.

“Kay will join our talented team working in business events including our Marketing and Communications Director, Joyce DiMascio and Sales Manager, Jane Saliba, Digital Marketing Executive, Libby Gardner and Sales Executive, Lauren Oayda.” Mr Beauchamp said.

“This team gives us a powerful presence in the business events sector with professionals who have outstanding expertise and networks. We are thrilled to welcome Kay.

Kay Badakhsh who is based at 12-Micron, Barangaroo said: “I am delighted to have joined The Venues Collection – It is an exciting feeling to be part of growing the Business Events portfolio throughout all our venues and to be able represent a company with such prestigious venues.

“Apart from this, I am the President of the Exhibition and Events Association of Australasia Young Stars Committee and a Charity Ambassador for the Michael Hughes Foundation. Through my various roles, I will continue to help the promotion of the events sector at such a critical time in our industry,” he said.

Marketing & Communications Director, Joyce DiMascio said the COVID-19 period had provided an opportunity for The Venues Collection to refresh all the venues and prepare the marketing program for re-launch and reopening.

“We are pleased to be able to present our exquisite venues with new marketing tools that will enable our potential clients to start considering our venues for their events.

“Today we launch our new 90 second showreel that gives all our market segments a taste of what we have in the portfolio. Destination appeal, diversity of flexible spaces and years of hospitality experience are at the heart of what we offer.” Ms DiMascio said.

Leading filmmakers, Benchmark Media and Entertainment produced seven short films – they were all made during the lock-down period. The series was directed by Gio Pacialeo with producer, Paul Sullivan and camera operator Tommy Pacialeo.

“Our challenge now is to relaunch our entire capability to the business events market – especially to the national market.” Ms DiMascio said.

Philip Beauchamp said that the company had used the lock-down period to do important maintenance work at the venues and in their gardens.

“All we need is for the Government restrictions to be lifted. For us the re-opening threshold is 100 guests. New sanitation protocols are in place and our food and beverage experiences have been reviewed to ensure we can keep our clients, staff and suppliers safe.” Mr Beauchamp said.
