Melbourne Showgrounds has reinforced its position as Victoria’s premier events venue after securing the Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow and the inaugural Australian Motoring Festival for 2015.

The Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow is shifting its event to Melbourne Showgrounds to expand in size to accommodate more exhibitors and increase visitor capacity.

The first ever Australian Motoring Festival, an event designed to connect automotive manufacturers and distributors to the public, chose to host its event at Melbourne Showgrounds for its flexible function spaces that will cater to its major industry conference, aftermarket exhibits, awards’ presentations and family entertainment.

As the venue manager of Melbourne Showgrounds, the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is thrilled to welcome the two major events to its site.

RASV CEO Mark O’Sullivan said, “We are proud that Melbourne Showgrounds is Victoria’s largest and most versatile venue for trade shows, exhibitions and events. We look forward to hosting the Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow and the Australian Motoring Festival in 2015”.

“Boasting more than 19 hectares, including 36,000 square metres of under cover area, Melbourne Showgrounds is a unique event space with the flexibility to provide major events with an opportunity to enhance the exhibitor and consumer experience,” said Mr O’Sullivan.

The RASV is committed to continuously enhancing Melbourne Showgrounds, with one of the venue’s main exhibition pavilions, Expo Hall, recently undergoing a $2.4 million upgrade.

The 2,000 square metre, indoor multi-purpose exhibition space now features climate control, additional bathrooms and new storage space, making it ideal for exhibitions, tradeshows, conferences and large banquets, with direct access to a commercial kitchen and function rooms.

Conveniently located in close proximity to the CBD, Melbourne Showgrounds is easily accessible, with more than 2,000 car parks on site and access to public transport, including trams, trains and buses.

Victoria’s biggest leisure show, the Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow will be held over six days from Wednesday, 11 to Monday, 16 February 2015, while the first ever Australian Motoring Festival will be held from Thursday, 26 to Sunday, 29 March 2015.
